Interview with Shahidur Rahman:
Why did you join CFD?
I was looking to get fit after a longtime being inactive. Zilve, Jon and James had spoken so highly of CFD, it sounded exciting (if not a little scary). I thought I’d give it a go.
My first ever workout was ‘Karen’, 150 wall balls. It was so tough and at the same time demonstrated exactly what CrossFit is. Quality coaching, super supportive environment, exercises scaled perfectly (so it was challenging yet achievable) – it was as I ‘wall balled’ my way to 150 being cheered on by 12 other CrossFitters, that I realised that this is something I’d love.
What motivates you to keep coming back?
All the amazing and varied WODs, top class coaching, trying to achieve personal goals, great role models and the rich community at the box.
Also, I feel great all the time! (Both physically and mentally)
What are your fitness goals for 2020?
I’d love to work towards becoming a more well rounded CrossFitter. Log scores more often, improve my weightlifting and gymnastics.
