The Boss – Arend Wissing

Arend has been working in the fitness industry for over 12 years, finding Crossfit in 2009 and never being able to shake the bug since. In January 2016 he opened Crossfit Dawn in the heart of Forest Gate, East London, with the aim to create a positive impact within the local community.

Arend’s main focus has been to create a box for anyone and everyone, across all ages and abilities. When he isn’t seen coaching at the box, he can be found chasing around his twin boys, or lighting up one of his world famous BBQs.

Born and bred in Italy, Alessandra joined the CrossFit Dawn family as a member in the summer of 2016. Due to her competitive nature and her drive to improve her fitness levels Ale very quickly became a competitive CrossFitter and has competed in both individual and team competitions both in and out of the UK.

In 2017 Ale gained her CrossFit L1 qualification, quit her full time office job and never looked back. So gained her CrossFit L2 in 2020 despite the pandemic.

You can find her in the box 7 days a week training hard and spreading her contagious laugh as well as pushing members to reach their full potential. You will never see her without her furry sidekick Lola who always provides our members with a warm welcome into the box.
